1, Netflix subscribers left stranded in mid-binge on “Friends” vented their woes on social media:įRIENDS is no longer on Netflix…. catalog at the end of 2020 to be available exclusively on NBCUniversal’s Peacock starting in 2021. Meanwhile, “The Office,” another top performer on Netflix, also will be departing the streamer’s U.S. “We’re sorry to see ‘Friends’ go to Warner’s streaming service at the beginning of 2020 (in the US). Let me see, how long it takes for the refund to be processed.“The One Where We Have To Say Goodbye,” Netflix tweeted back in July. I returned the package back to Amazon (along with the free coffee mugs). Overall, I was totally unsatisfied with the quality.4 episodes per disc (and probably non-extended ones) means that disc was not even dual layer/8.5 GB.Indian version had gaudy/over saturated colours.Going close to the TV, there was huge pixellation all around. The quality of transfer is EXTREMELY POOR.I believe that Indian version is standard broadcast version because the as with the broadcast the title song is more fast paced than the original. I could not confirm this with the Indian version. The US DVDs are all with extended footage. The Indian version is 6 DVDs with 4 episodes on each disc, no extras. The US version of the season set is on 4 DVDs with 6 episodes on each disc + extra featurettes, etc.The package (sold by Pritam music) arrived well in time and all that. I thought the price was OK and went ahead to order two seasons (1 & 2). 1065 + a gift of coffee mug with "Friends" logo inscribed. I found that on Amazon.in, each season was available for Rs. But I came to know that the BD set covers broadcast espisodes only while the DVDs contain all the episodes with extended version - each episode is at least 5 minutes longer than the broadcast version of 22 minutes. I like the series so much that I even thought of buying the entire set of blu-ray. The DVD of The Hunt for Red October is badly scratched but works fine. Funnily enough, only the Friends DVDs are giving a problem. The discs themselves show hardly any scratches or smudges. I tried cleaning by various methods, plain water, mild soap, alcohol - no luck.

I tried the discs in Sony BDP, Panasonic BDP, Pioneer DVDP, desktop DVD drive, laptop DVD drive, etc. Some get stuck at the main menu itself and player says invalid disc or ERR. Of late, I have found that almost all the 40 discs are stuttering or freezing badly. Well, there are many who hate the sitcom, but that is a different matter. To me, each episode of Friends has a feel good factor that I can't easily attribute. As far I am concerned, this is my prized possesion that I like to watch often - especially if I feel bored or even depressed. I have the entire 10 seasons of the sitcom Friends on DVD.
